Evaluation Process

1.

The evaluation process is governed by the following independent bodies comprising of experienced industry leaders:

Judges Panel

Senior Executives from the relevant industry

  • Govern the overall program.
  • Provide guidance to the Evaluation Committee and the program team in designing and executing the program.
  • Review the evaluation reports submitted by the Evaluation Committee and select the finalists & winners.

Evaluation Committee

Senior Project Managers/Directors from the relevant industry

  • Review and approve the evaluation criteria and process.
  • Obtain necessary guidance from Judges Panel and perform an objective evaluation of the submitted projects.
  • Prepare the evaluation report and submit to the Judges Panel.

Evaluation Committee evaluates the project nominations according to the eligibility criteria and provide the evaluation report to the Judges Panel.

3.

 

Judges Panel selects the finalists for each category; if needed the finalists may be required to provide more details and conduct presentations in front of the Judges Panel.

4.

Judges Panel selects the winner of each category, which will be announced at the Annual Members Night.

Project of the Year Award honours project teams for their successful completion of project in Business & information system and Engineering & Construction in Singapore. With overwhelming response and support from market leaders, corporates, project managers, this program was launched in 2014. Following the grant success of the SPMI POY 2014-2015, the Singapore Project Management Institute has launched the SPMI POY 2015-16 and invites all corporates to showcase their outstanding projects for these awards.

Key_Benefits

  • One of the most prestigious awards for project management professionals and organizations in Singapore to get recognized and rewarded for their outstanding projects.
  • A platform for organizations to showcase their capabilities and achievements, and learn from other organizations.
  • Organizations have the chance to raise the awareness of their projects and the PM profession among their senior executives.
  • Winners of SPMI POY get the opportunity to compete for prestigious global PMI awards. Thus, raising the recognition also at the global level.
  • SPMI POY winners will be recognized in SPMI publications, website and during the SPMI Regional Symposium.
  • SPMI POY winners will be published in PMI Region 15 periodicals.

Eligibility

  • The project must been completed between September 01, 2013 and September 30, 2015.
  • The project must be implemented in Singapore or carried out by a company based in Singapore or originated from Singapore.
  • The total size of the project must meet following conditions for the categories:

o Business and Information Systems:

§ Minimum budget of S$2mil, and 25 or more team members.

o Engineering and Construction:

§ Minimum budget of S$25mil, and 25 or more team members.

  • An organization cannot submit more than 3 projects per category, but may submit projects in multiple categories.
  • The project has not won any PMI Distinguished Project Awards.
  • The project has neither been a Finalist nor won the SPMI POY 2014-2015.
  • PMI affiliation is not necessary for nomination.

  • Three finalists will be selected in each category and each finalist will receive a Merit Award.
  • Winner of each category will receive the SPMI POY Award.

PMI Singapore Chapter - Project of the Year Award (SPMI-POY) 2015-16

The Project Management Institute Singapore Chapter (SPMI) is proud to announce Project of the Year Awards (SPMI-POY) 2015-16. These awards will be given for projects that have produced outstanding results and demonstrated excellence in the field of Project Management in Singapore.

  • Prestigious awards for the project management professionals and the organizations in Singapore to get recognized and rewarded for their outstanding projects.
  • A platform for the organizations to showcase their capabilities and achievements, and learn from other organizations.
  • Organizations can assess their PM maturity and adopt PM best practices by engaging with PMI.
  • Organizations can raise the awareness of the projects and the PM profession among their senior executives.
  • The SPMI-POY winners will be recognized in SPMI publications, website and during the SPMI Regional Symposium.
  • The SPMI-POY winners will also be recognized in PMI Region 15 publications.
