1. How do I join?
PMI Singapore Chapter is the local community of the Project Management Institute (PMI) in Singapore. Membership is administered through PMI.
Under the unified membership model, PMI membership includes membership of a chapter based on the member’s country of residence. Members residing in Singapore are automatically enrolled in PMI Singapore Chapter when they join or renew their PMI membership.
To join:
- Visit the PMI membership page.
- Sign in to your PMI account, or create an account if you do not already have one.
- Complete your membership application and ensure your country of residence is recorded correctly.
- Review the membership details and fees shown before completing payment.
For members residing in Singapore, PMI Singapore Chapter membership forms part of the unified offering and does not require a separate chapter purchase.
If you reside outside Singapore and would like to join PMI Singapore Chapter as an additional chapter, please refer to Question 6.

2. Why should I join PMI Singapore Chapter membership?
PMI Singapore Chapter connects members with a local community of project, programme and portfolio professionals. It provides opportunities to develop professional skills, exchange knowledge and contribute to the profession.

- Member event rates: access preferential member pricing by logging into the chapter website before registering.

- Specialist communities: engage with Women in Project Management, Major Infrastructure & Industrial Projects (MIIP), and AI x PM.

3. How do I add PMI Singapore Chapter membership to global PMI membership?
Under the unified membership model, members residing in Singapore are automatically enrolled in PMI Singapore Chapter when they join or renew their PMI membership. A separate chapter purchase is not required for this included membership.
If you are an existing PMI member and Singapore Chapter membership is not shown in your account, check that your country of residence is recorded correctly. Contact PMI Customer Care for assistance with your chapter assignment or your transition to the unified membership model.
If you reside outside Singapore, you may join PMI Singapore Chapter as an additional chapter, subject to the applicable chapter fee. Refer to Question 6 for more information.

4. How can I renew my membership?
Sign in to your account on PMI.org and follow the membership renewal instructions shown in your account.
Under the unified membership model, members residing in Singapore renew their PMI membership and included Singapore Chapter membership through one process. Before completing renewal, check your country of residence and the chapter membership details shown.
If your membership has expired, or the chapter details are incorrect, contact PMI Customer Care for assistance.
Membership renewal and certification renewal are separate. Renewing your PMI membership does not renew your PMP or other PMI certification. Refer to PMI’s certification maintenance guidance for certification requirements.
5. I have just moved to Singapore. Can I transfer my membership?
Contact PMI Customer Care to update your registered country of residence and request assistance with your chapter affiliation.
Under the unified membership model, Singapore Chapter membership is included for members residing in Singapore when they join or renew. If you move during an existing membership term, PMI Customer Care can advise whether a chapter change can take effect before your next renewal and explain any applicable conditions or charges.
Do not assume that changing your address will immediately transfer your chapter membership. Ask PMI Customer Care to confirm your updated affiliation.

6. Can I become a member of two different chapters at the same time?
Yes. Under the unified membership model, one chapter is included in your PMI membership, and you may purchase additional chapter memberships, including chapters outside your country of residence.
Additional chapters are charged at their applicable membership fees. Review the current fees and membership details through PMI’s chapter directory, or contact PMI Customer Care for assistance.
If you reside outside Singapore, this provides a way to participate in PMI Singapore Chapter alongside your included chapter.
7. I have just joined PMI Singapore Chapter. Can you advise my login details for this website?
The PMI Singapore Chapter website uses PMI Single Sign-On (SSO). Select the member login option on the chapter website and sign in using the same PMI.org username and password.
If you have forgotten your credentials, use the username or password recovery options on the PMI sign-in page.
New or renewed membership details may take time to appear on the chapter website. If you can sign in to PMI.org but cannot access chapter member benefits, contact membership@pmi.org.sg with your PMI ID and a description of the issue. Do not send your password.
Once recognised as a chapter member, logging in enables access to member event rates. The “My registrations” area provides registration history and attendance certificates.
8. I have renewed my PMI membership & PMI Singapore Chapter membership; however I have not received my Tax Receipt. How can I obtain a copy?
Sign in to your PMI account and visit Order History to locate your membership renewal transaction and obtain a copy of the available receipt.
If the transaction or receipt is missing, or you need assistance with billing details or a tax invoice, contact PMI Customer Care. Provide your order number, if available, to help identify the payment.
