Project of the Year Award honours project teams for their successful completion of project in Business & information system and Engineering & Construction in Singapore. With overwhelming support from market leaders, corporates, project managers, this program was launched in 2014. Following the grand success of the SPMI POY 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17 the Project Management Institute Singapore Chapter has launched the SPMI POY 2017-18 and invites all government agencies as well as corporates to showcase their outstanding projects for these awards.

Eligibility

  • The project must been completed between September 01, 2015 and September 30, 2017.
  • The project must be implemented in Singapore or carried out by a company based in Singapore or originated from Singapore.
  • The total size of the project must meet following conditions for the award categories:
  1. Business and Information Systems:
    • Minimum budget of S$1mil, and 15 or more team members.
  2. Engineering and Construction:
    • Minimum budget of S$15mil, and 15 or more team members.
  • An organization cannot submit more than 3 projects per category, but may submit projects in multiple categories.
  • The project has not won any PMI Distinguished Project Awards.
  • The project has neither been a Finalist nor won the SPMI POY (2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-17).
  • PMI affiliation is not necessary for nomination.

Category

Awards will be presented in the following two categories:

  • Three finalists will be selected in each category and each finalist will receive a Merit Award. 
  • Depending on receipt of category-wise nominations based on project value, PoY Panel Evaluation & Judges committee may advice if any award sub-category , Special recognition awards are required.
 

Note: Companies can choose either of the two mentioned PoY Award categories for Nomination Submission, based on their nature of the projects.  Before Nomination submission, respective project leaders are encouraged to discuss/ write to SPMI PoY committee (email: PoY@pmi.org.sg) for any clarification.

Call for “Expression of Interest” survey to the upcoming POY Awards 2017-18

 

 

Project of the Year Award honours Project teams for their successful completion ofpic1
Singapore executed projects under the broad category of Business & Information system and Engineering & Construction. With overwhelming responses and support from Government agencies, 

Market leaders, Corporates, this program was launched in 2014 to showcase outstanding projects.  POY award program nominations will be reviewed by a group of Expert Panel which includes CIOs, Professors, Senior Vice- Presidents, Corporate Directors, EDB director, and other senior executives from the corporate world and Institutions.

Following the grand success of POY awards for last 3 years, Singapore Project Management Institute (SPMI) will be launching their 4th POY 2017-18 award program in Aug 2017.

In past 3 years, successful Nominations were obtained from Government agencies as well as various industrial segments  such as Information Technology, Banking, Healthcare, Stock- Exchange, Logistics, Airport, EPC companies, Government Owned consultancy, International consultancies, Energy & Chemicals, Rail Transportation infrastructure, Marine and offshore engineering firms.
