Dr. Benoliel is the editor of Negotiation Excellence: Successful Deal Making (2011 and 2015 editions); co-author of Negotiating (2009); and author of The Upper Hand (2006), Done Deal: Insights from Interviews with the World’s Best Negotiators (2005), book chapters, articles and teaching simulations.

Dr. Benoliel received his doctorate degree from The George Washington University (in the USA) and was trained in Negotiation and Leadership in the Program on Negotiation, Harvard Law School, and in the Participant Centered Model at the Harvard Business School. In 2007, after teaching in the USA, he joined the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU) as an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior & Human resources Practice.

Dr. Benoliel has been recognized for his academic teaching and received the Most Outstanding Faculty Member Award, Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Class of 2015; The Classroom to Boardroom Award for linking academic theories to practice, MBA Class 2014; The Appreciation in Years to Come Award for making a difference in students’ professional lives in 5 years’ time, MBA Class 2014; nominated to the 2014 Best Associate Professor of Practice Award; the Outstanding Faculty Member Award, EMBA Class of 2013; the Most Outstanding Faculty Member Award, Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Class of 2012; and the 2010 Singapore Management University Innovative Teacher Award. He was listed in the Dean’s Teaching Honour List in 2009, 2010, and 2014.
